Children's Lantern Parade:

A Christkindlmarket tradition that invites all children to participate to this fun event. Traditionally, German children take to the streets on November 11th to celebrate the good deeds of St. Martin. One famous story tells of him as knight who generously cut his coat in half to share with a beggar on a severely cold night. Please join us as we parade the Market with traditional German lanterns.

4:30 pm: Pick up pre-ordered lanterns at Grand Timber House

5:00 pm: Parade begins at the Grand Timber House

Pre-registration is recommended to ensure your child gets a lantern. Lanterns can be purchased through the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest (GACCoM). For families to register for this event, order lanterns (comes with light and carrying rod at $8 for GACCoM Members and $10 for Non-Members) and for more details, visit www.gaccom.org and click on the events registration link, call 312.644.2662 or write to info@christkindlmarket.com.
